A loop kit is a collection of pre-recorded musical phrases—usually 4 to 8 bars long—that producers can drop into a DAW to build beats quickly. The "Solid" Vol. 5 by Young Montana is a free loop kit containing 9 original loops designed for dark trap, Memphis rap, and artists such as Key Glock and BigXthaPlug. You can download it directly from this link.
What is a loop kit and why producers use them
A loop kit gives you ready-made melodic or rhythmic phrases that you can drag into your project and arrange into a full beat. Unlike a full sample pack, which may include one-shots, MIDI files, and drum hits, a loop kit focuses on complete musical ideas—melodies, chord progressions, or grooves—that already have a mood and direction. Producers use loop kits to speed up workflow, find inspiration, or add a professional-sounding layer to their production without starting from scratch. The "Solid" Vol. 5 kit is built around dark, atmospheric sounds that fit the trap and Memphis rap styles, making it useful for beats in the vein of Key Glock, BigXthaPlug, or Young Dolph.
Inside "Solid" Vol. 5: 9 loops for dark trap
"Solid" Vol. 5 contains 9 placement-ready loops, each composed by Young Montana. The kit is described as suitable for Key Glock, Trap, BigXthaPlug, and Dark styles, and the loop titles suggest a range of moods: "Outta Control," "Long Way," "Gem," "Ice Mane," "Black Flag," "Static," "Pop It," "Ambitions," and "Smooth Talk." These loops are original compositions, not samples of existing records, so they are cleared for use under the terms described below. The kit is free to download, and the loops are designed to be used as the foundation of a beat or as layered elements in a larger arrangement.
